The Chronicles Of Narnia Sweater.

“In your world I have another name… You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.”

- Aslan

Back when I was younger, one day my dad wanted to show all of us this movie that he said he loved to watch. We would all sit along the couches with the curtains closed and the light a little dimmed. That was the first time we watched that movie and we all loved it and loved it ever since. We still watch those movies all the time since that day. I think it's a beautiful movie, the music, the characters, and the meaning.

So I thought to knit a Chronicles of Narnia sweater and this was my first time knitting a sweater all together. My sister gave me the idea of using the words "The lion The Witch & The Wardrobe" while I was thinking of ways I could make a Chronicles of Narnia sweater.

I first started the pattern on Canva and while making it I was a bit nervous and anxious about it but throughout this project I realized I just got to get out of my own way. Through making the graph and making them I had to get out my own way and stop making problems that weren't even there in the first place. I continued to make the graph on canva and then started knitting. I used 3 different yarn colors: Big twist wine red, Big twist Deep Red, and Big twist Mustard. I had to buy new knitting needles because, chile somehow I lost my other knitting needles lol! This was my first time using the straight knitting needles and it was nice to use.

It was my first time doing Intarsia knitting and it became easier and easier as I went on. It took some time with knitting each stitch and following the pattern but I then realized an easier way of putting words on it for next time but I'm glad I just went through and did it.

I then worked on the back of the sweater and I decided to put C.S, Lewis on the back to add an extra piece, to put it all together. I didn't realize that C.S. Lewis has two dots instead of one until after lol, but it's okay I still liked it. I was a little nervous about the words coming out bad but I just tried my best and knew that it's my first time and that it doesn't have to be perfect. After doing the front and back piece I started working on the sleeve and I tried doing double ribbing on the sleeves so the ribbing can be thicker. I wanted a sword on the side of the sleeves but I didn't really like the way it looked so I decided not to add it.

I absolutely love this project and I'm so proud of getting out of my own way and just doing it. Some things I learned while doing this project is to just do it scared (because you never know what can happen next, even when you feel like what if this happens or what if that happens, just do it and learn from how it turned out in the end), get out of your own way because it wasn't any problem in the first place, and that you can make anything you put your mind to. I really enjoyed making this sweater and the process of it. Even though some things didn't turn out how I expected it to, I still did it and it came out beautiful.
